DH has published its Climate Change Plan, which brings together the pan government carbon reduction and adaptation plans required in the Climate Change Act. The Plan requires non Foundation Trusts to sign up to a Statement of Internal Control, meaning that a Trust has to take into account the requirements of the Climate Change Act and the Civil Contingencies Act in relation to adapting to climate change. DH will make more information available by the end of April/early May. As part of the process of internal control, this information will be summarised in Trust Annual Reports and would ideally be linked to the other areas of work for sustainable development and carbon reduction. For more information on the DH plan, visit the DH website.
