UHB Big Green Scheme event

University Hospitals Bristol will be holding their Big Green Scheme event on 28th September 10-3pm at the Bristol Heart Institute atrium. Everyone is invited to this event, to help celebrate the second year of the Big Green Scheme.  As well as staff representing the Big Green Scheme, Physiotherapy, and Green Impact (there new green awards scheme) there will be stalls from local organisations involved in sustainability and the environment. Last year stalls included Avon Beekeepers, Avon Wildlife Trust, Fair trade, City Car Club, Biffa, Centre of Sustainable Energy and Cycling City.

Powerpoint presentation given by Mike Poole (Eco-nomic Ltd) and Mark Summers (NHS Cornwall and Isles of Scilly) at the NHS Sustainability Network meeting on 03 March 2010 in Exeter. The presentation covers the benefits of the Climate Connection work that took place in Cornwall – including in wards, community hospitals and GP practice, with special focus on the Renal Unit at Royal Cornwall Hospital. The presentation also introduces the opportunity to embed this work in Productive Ward (…Theatre, Community Hospital etc).
