- A survey of NHS leaders showing the importance of sustainability in driving up quality, productivity and value;
- An Ipsos MORI public opinion survey demonstrating how sustainable the public think the NHS should be;
- The latest NHS carbon footprint.
This short publication details how:
- 92% of the public interviewed by Ipsos MORI say they want the NHS to be more sustainable, with 33% saying it should be done even if it would cost the health service money;
- Almost nine out of every ten leaders surveyed say they think sustainability is important with 60% believing it is essential to the running of their organisation;
- The NHS Carbon Footprint has stopped rising and is levelling off at 20 million tonnes per year.
