NHS Sustainability Day of Action

All NHS organisations and their stakeholders are being asked to sign up to a 'Day of Action' on sustainability – on Wednesday the 28th March 2012.  More details will follow soon, but see below for information.

Examples of the sort of action that you could take are:

• Holding a day of action on the 28th March 2012
• Pledging to change actions 
• Publicising the event 
• Getting all members of staff to engage with patients and partners and work together to make a difference on sustainability issues 
• Raise awareness of sustainability in: clinical practice; local sourcing of food; low carbon menus; procurement; and active travel including walking to work and using public transport.
