National Sustainable Public Procurement Programme

Based on the outcomes of the sustainable procurement task force of the United Nations Marrakech Process, these sessions developed by DEFRA and WRAP provide an introduction to sustainable procurement and help public bodies develop an implementation prioritisation methodology.

Module 1 is intended as an introduction to sustainable procurement and introduces a prioritisation methodology. Modules 2 & 3 looks at how sustainability can be integrated into specification, pre-qualification, supplier selection and contract management. Dates and locations for the sessions are:

  • 9th September 2010 (Module 1)     Bristol     The Council House, College Green, BS1 5TR
  • 30th November 2010 (Module 1)     Truro     The Business Space, Cornwall College, Chiltern House, City Road, TR1 2JL
